Description

You are bidding on a
used 1996 Rickenbacker 325V63 (Serial # D98187) reissue of the famous Ric that
John Lennon played.  This is guitar is in
very good condition with no fret wear. 
In terms of “issues” there are two small nicks in the head stock, one of
them in the photos (I was able to get a good picture of the second nick, but
it’s somewhat smaller than the one in the photo), that have been touched up and
are not very noticeable.  Other than that,
a few swirl marks on the back and a small 1/16 diameter shallow indent on the
back is all I could find.  Despite a
couple of small marks, this Ric looks very nice as can be seen in the photos.  Currently has a barely played set of Pyramid
short scale flat wound strings (likely John’s choice back in the 60’s), plus
I’m including a new set of Rickenbacker short scale strings.  Comes with the original case (the case sold
with the 325V63 in 1996 was black not silver), mostly unused Rickenbacker black leather guitar strap like the one John used when Rickenbacker first gave him the “Miami” (before the Vox Python) and a Ric catalog of that
period.  Note the Ric sticker on the case
is easily removable if you don’t want it on there.  Reserve is $1995!

 Forgot to add that apparently this Ric has been played very little over the years (it mostly hung on a wall since I owned it) as there is no detectable fret wear at all.  Except for the two marks on the headstock that were carefully painted, its a gorgeous Ric and still a tribute to one of the most interesting and talented rock musicians of all time…John Lennon.  I hate parting with it, but too many other guitars in the studio!
