1977 Rickenbacker 4001 Bass and Hardshell Case

I am the original and only owner of this Rickenbacker 4001 Bass. I purchased it in 1977. It was Manufactured in November of 1977.
The finish is a very hard to find Autumnglo Walnut which is the gloss version of Autumnglo. This Bass is completely original with no modifications (with the exception of the strings).
It is in amazing condition and looks like it just came off the shelf. This bass was my prize instrument and I babied it through the years. There is one chip that actually was there when I purchased it. You can see the chip at the upper cutaway where the strap peg was installed (see photo). It’s very minor and inconspicuous and gets covered by the strap when playing. There is absolutely no buckle rash on the back and the chrome components are in beautiful condition as I hope the photos convey. Any light spots in the photos are from glare. I took some shots with a flash and others without to try and capture all the detail and subtleties in the finish. The frets are in great shape. The body and neck are maple and the fingerboard is rosewood.
It has the standard output jack as well as the Rick-O-Sound stereo jack. I played this Bass though a vintage Ampeg B-15N and it sounds and plays absolutely amazing
The original hardshell case is included in the auction.
I think you will find it difficult to land another 1977 4001 in this condition with this unique finish.
