Description

Rickenbacker Model 4001C64S Bass in Midnight Blue finish.  This is one of only six 4001C64S basses made by Rickenbacker in Midnight Blue in late 2009, at which time this model was discontinued.   (Almost all other Rickenbacker C64S basses were finished in Mapleglo and a few in Jetglo.)  In addition to the stunning Midnight Blue original finish color, this bass has the standard features of a 4001C64S:  zero-fret, shaved horn, dot fretboard inlays, horseshoe pickup in the bridge position and a toaster-top PU in the neck position for that ’60s vintage tone.    

THIS IS ONE OF SIX MADE IN MIDNIGHT BLUE.  You won’t see another for a very long time.

Please view the photos carefully — some were taken with professional indoor lighting, others with outdoor lighting in order to show the finish color in different lighting arrangements so you can see the true color.   There is one small impression on the back of the headstock (barely visible above the “D” tuner), the rest of the finish is perfect.

This instrument has that great Rickenbacker bass tone.  It is all original, no issues.  I purchased this bass new from a dealer.  It has been taken out of the case to be inspected and tuned up.  It has never left my smoke-free home.  Comes with original Rickenbacker silver vintage reissue case with plush blue lining.  Included are RIC polish cloth, owners manual, case keys and original warranty card.
