1970 Rickenbacker 360SF

As if Rickenbacker guitars weren’t already stylin’ enough, they went “one better” when they introduced guitars with slanted frets!

This vintage 360-SF is a study in ergonomics. It’s essentially the crowd favorite 330 model but with its rounded edges, and in the case of the “SF,” slanted frets, it is much more user friendly. No mere gimmick here. The frets, bridge, and pickups are at a subtle angle, matching the curve of your hand and fingers as they wrap around the neck.

Every last detail is well though out and damn fine lookin. Crushed glass inlays. Cat’s eye f-hole. Dual layer pick guards. Signature “R” tailpiece that sits on a bevel. Even the back is classy with its checker board binding. Ric’s “Mapleglo” is always a classy looking finish, and it only get better looking through the years. Both the maple and the clear coats have taken on a killer amber color.

Made almost entirely out of maple, Rickenbackers are built to last. The finish may get nicked up but its hard to put a ding in one of these let alone a break. There are the normal light nicks and scratches but nothing worse. It has some light buckle rash on the back. All the hardware and electronics function properly. The 360SF also has the “Ric-O-Sound” outs so you can run each pickup to a separate amp. The neck is straight and the original frets show some wear but the guitar plays well. The action is medium/low and there are no dead spots. Nice and light at only 6.9 lbs!

The cherry on top: this one is all original too. If it is wasn’t highly collectible it would still be a lust-worthy guitar. Ric’s just have a special something that a lot of other guitar makers never seemed to attain. Genius. Pure genius.

Returns

Buyer responsible for shipping both ways on returned items no exceptions. All returned items must arrive in the same condition they were sent.
